Virgin Birth: A Forgery Part 2

If Mary was not a virgin when she had Jesus, then Jesus wasn’t God.

The Holy Trinity

If Jesus wasn’t God then there is no such thing as the Trinity. If there is no Trinity, then the Roman church must have invented a great lie. If the church is a lie, then they must have really corrupted the Bible. If the bible has been corrupted, then it is not inerrant and Christianity is full of falsehoods. Need I say more?

This is why the doctrine of the virgin birth is so crucial and so central to Christianity. This is how Christianity has become to its followers as the one and only true religion and all others false. “But if Mary wasn’t a virgin, then Jesus wasn’t ‘the’ son of God. If he wasn’t the son of God then he couldn’t save us.”

Christianity: the religion of exclusivity

This is what makes Christianity the religion of exclusivity to salvation. You can only be “saved” if you believe the right way, the way that the church teaches. And not just any Christian religion, you have to be lucky enough to believe the right doctrines and belong to the right Christian religion in order to be saved.

If you join the wrong church and believe the wrong doctrines, you are

The Majority of God's Creation Cast Into Hell!

The Majority of God's Creation Cast Into Hell!

liable to go to hell for all eternity. And this is not to mention all the rest of the millions of people in the world who have never even heard of Christ and the bible or have been brought up in a muslim home or a Jewish home or a Budist home or any other. Only a few lucky ones will be able to enter the pearly gates and the majority of God’s creation will God be tortured in hell for an eternity! I don’t think so.

And what if Jesus was only a man?

That makes him a REAL son of man and not a god-man. That makes Jesus our brother. That means that everything that Jesus did is not beyond our reach. If Jesus was God, then of course we couldn’t be expected to do all the things that he did — after all, he was God, we are only human.

But what if we really could reach a point where we could do the things that Jesus did? What if what Jesus said actually applied to us too? Could we actually do all the works that he did and even greater works like he said we could?

Joh 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

“But Jesus lead a sinless life, he was perfect.”

“And that proves that he was God, does’t it?” Well, if that were so, then why does it say:

Heb 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
Heb 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation [Jesus] perfect through sufferings.
Heb 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

(Notice the last verse, salvation is for them that obey his commandments.)

A specific prophecy about Jesus:

2 Sam 7:14 I will be to him a father, and he shall be to Me a son; so that when he goes astray I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with afflictions of human beings.

Jesus had to be made perfect through chastenings

If Jesus were God he wouldn’t have had to learn obedience or be made perfect. Only God is holy and sinless. God learns nothing since he is all-knowing. How could Jesus be God if the bible says he had to learn obedience, and was made perfect through suffering?

Jesus is not God and he was able to reach perfection

We also should be able to as well. Jesus made it and he is not the god-man that the church claims him to be.

Mat 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Col 1:28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

“But if Jesus were not God, he could not save us.

It says that only God can save.”

Isa 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no Saviour.

If God is our only saviour then He is enough. I think I can trust him for that. I never could understand how millions of good people go to hell just because they aren’t of the Christian religion.

Why Mary couldn’t possibly have been a virgin

So to recap, here are the main points of why Mary couldn’t possibly have been a virgin and thus Jesus not a god-man:

  • Joseph had to be his biological father for him to be the messiah.
  • There is no example in the bible where a woman ascended to the throne of David, so Jesus’s heritage to the throne couldn’t come through her, only Joseph. So Joseph had to be the biological father.
  • If the Isaiah 7:14 is a double prophecy about the virgin birth, who was the first virgin?
  • The Emmanuel prophecy was fulfilled in a ‘young woman’ who was impregnated by Isaiah.
  • The "Virgin" Mary?

    The Virgin Mary?

  • The original word for ‘young woman’ was mistranslated for ‘virgin’ in the prophecy.
  • The Jewish Christians rejected the idea of the virgin birth and believed it was an invention of the roman church
  • Neither Paul’s nor any of the other apostles’ writings in the bible mention not even once the virgin birth.
  • Paul calls Jesus a man born of a woman [not a virgin] under the law.
  • The gospels of Mark and John do not mention the virgin birth.
  • A direct translation from the aramaic says that Joseph obeyed the angel and ‘went into Mary…and she conceived the holy one’.
  • Jesus was known as the son of Joseph by his disciples and Jesus’s father by Mary.
  • The oldest and the only gospel that the early christians used, Matthew’s gospel, begins with the story of John baptizing – no virgin birth story.
  • Most of the earliest manuscripts have no mention of the virgin birth story.
  • Jesus had brothers and sisters.
  • Mary wasn’t a virgin, therefore Jesus was not God.
