The Great Plan: Part 4
The Whole Idea Behind the Plan
The reason for the whole creation, as it relates to Man, is to provide a whole experience for Man.
Joh 17:21 That all be one [that all they be one], as thou, Father, in me, and I in thee, that also they in us be one; that the world believe, that thou hast sent me.
I’m not saying that man will be a God, what I am saying is that the whole plan was from the very beginning of creation was for man to be a god. But Man had to undergo all these experiences to cause him to grow and become a special creature, almost like God in many ways, that would love Him out of his own volition and could be with God because he wants to be with God.
I think that maybe this is one of the reasons that a part of the Plan had to be death. It was never a part of God’s Plan to be separate from Him for all time, but only for a short time and for a special purpose. You know like the old saying, “absence makes the heart grow fonder”, well maybe it’s like that. Maybe it’s God’s way of getting Man to be fonder of God. Plus the fact that it was never in God’s Plan from the very beginning for Man to be separate from God for all time.
From reading the Bible, one can see that one of the main desires of God is that Man love Him. And one of the main ways that God wants to be shown love is through obedience. So how does He get Man to learn obedience? That is a part of the Great Plan. To provide an environment for Man to have a learning experience, He puts Man in surroundings that he can have an endless number of experiences and temptations. But the main thing in all of these experiences is that God also provides a way for Man find happiness and a way to escape temptation.
The way man finds happiness is through learning obedience to God. But what is there to obey if there is no right or wrong? So God has to make some rules and these rules are also things that will make the experience of Man more pleasant, trouble-free, organized, healthy, peaceful, etc., all the things that have to exist in life to make the pursuit of happiness possible. The most important part of the Great Plan is for Man to be happy, believe it or not.
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
The final goal of this whole Plan is that in the very end, when all of God’s enemies have been defeated and there is no more suffering, and dying and all the rest that goes with this experience on thing physical realm that He created for our learning, is that Man will finally be together living with God, being his people and God being their God.
1Co 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
The whole point of this entire experience is that God will be able to live in all Men and be one with Men for His pleasure. The entire creation and especially His crowning creation, Man, was created for His pleasure. But how could God have pleasure unless Man is completely happy? It may sound strange, but the whole experience of man is teaching him how to be happy. Obviously, a third part of the angels who lived in a perfect environment and were created immortal were not happy with the way things were — so they rebelled!
