If Jesus is Only a Man, Then…

If Jesus is not God then REINCARNATION IS ACTUALLY A REALITY

If Jesus is only a man, and not God as most people believe, then that changes everything we have ever thought about existence. If Jesus was not God and was only a man like you or me, then everything that applied to Jesus applies to us also. Jesus existed before this life, he was a spirit incarnated into human flesh. He was a creation of God and knew God and learned from God. All things that Jesus could do are possible for us also.

…Not COULD be, it IS a reality.

This means that we also existed before this life; our spirits weren’t created at the time of conception as we are taught. Like Jesus, we lived before in another existence, were incarnated into this body of flesh, and when we die we continue on in a different life.

The difference between us and Jesus is that he was the first born of God; he was the first to be begotten of God. The word “begotten” couldn’t possibly mean God had an intimate relation with his wife and Jesus was conceived — that is an absurd idea. But what it does mean is that he was the first to be born of God in a spiritual sense. We are begotten of God ALSO.

1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

Jas 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

Before the “correctors” made changes to the gospels, this is what the original actually did said about Jesus’ baptism. It is strikingly different than what we read in our KJV bibles today:

And it came to pass when the Lord was come up out of the water, the whole fount of the Holy Spirit descended upon him and rested on him and said to him: My son, in all the prophets was I waiting for thee that thou shouldest come and I might rest in thee. For thou art my rest; thou art my first-begotten Son that reignest for ever. (The Gospel of the Hebrews)

if he was the FIRST son that means that there was a second and a third and so on. He wasn’t the only son of God. In fact, God declared that he BECAME a son of God on the day of his baptism. He said to Jesus when he was about 30 years old: “Thou art my son, THIS DAY have I begotten thee.” (Heb 1:5; 5:5; Psa 2:7)

Jesus, being the messiah of God has been given all power and authority over all things. In this he was a special human being. But if it were given to him at some time in his existence, that means he didn’t always have it. And since we know that God is eternal, and has eternally been all-powerful, Jesus couldn’t possibly be God.

Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is [has been] given unto me in heaven and in earth.

The correct tense of this verse is the present perfect. When it is used it means that the action happened at some unspecified time in the past and possibly continues up to the present and/or future. This means that God gave him the power at some unspecified time. If he were God, he wouldn’t have had to receive it — he would already have it.

And the time will come when all his enemies are defeated, Jesus will return the kingdom to God and be subject to God. If Jesus is subject to God, then he is not God. You couldn’t say God is subject to God!

1Co 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
1Co 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

1Co 15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
1Co 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

So then Christ was the first to be begotten of God and then each of us who belong to Christ in due time.

This means that we also are creations of God and that we existed before this life. The bible says that we were chosen by God before the world was created:

Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Just as Jesus was before the creation of the world:

1Pe 1:20  [Jesus] Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

God knew Jeremiah before he was formed in his mother’s womb. Before he became a flesh and blood being God know him as a spirit.

Jer 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

  1. I do see there is something in “reincarnation” But you have lost me here, as you said “as most people believe” it’s not about what most poeple believe, what do most believers believe, what does God’s Word say? (John 1:1)Yes Jesus was a “Spirit” before he came to earth, He was the Word of God made flesh, Jesus,(man) walked as a man in all our weakness, Jesus the man was “the only begotten Son”, a new man not in the lineage of Adam. But we do not focus on Jesus as to Christ, it is the risen Jesus, (Christ) that has to be our focus, Jesus is our “Patern” “The Word is and still is God, all things were made through Him and for Him. “Let US make man in OUR image and likness. (Jesus was created, The Word always was)

    • Also remember that it was God who spoke through Jesus. Jesus didn’t speak anything of himself, but only that which he had heard from his Father. Jesus was NOT literally the word. That was a metaphor. He was called the word of God because he SPOKE the word of God. The word of God, as you said, had always existed. But Jesus was a creation of God like the rest of us. And we all pre-existed the same as Jesus.

He was the Word of God made flesh

This is a metaphore. The word of God is of God, not of Jesus. Jesus is not God, nor a third person in a so-called Trinity.

Jesus was not LITERALLY bread, light, truth, life, way, etc. These are all metaphores, he was referring to the words that he SPOKE.

His flesh profits nothing. It is the words that he SPOKE that are spirit and life.

All things were made by the WORD of God, not by Jesus. Jesus was not God, but a creation of God.
