			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>If Jesus wasn&#8217;t born of a virgin, then he wasn&#8217;t, isn&#8217;t and never will be God.</strong> So then you might say, &#8220;If Jesus isn&#8217;t God then he can&#8217;t be our savior because the bible says only God can save&#8221;. So true. The bible does say that. But did you ever stop to think about what it means to be saved? Saved from what? How do you get saved and who or what saves you?</p>
<blockquote><p>Mat 1:21  And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.</p></blockquote>
<p>People are saved FROM their sins. The following is from a translation directly from Aramaic to English:</p>
<blockquote><p>His name on earth will be Yeshua. He will save the people from their sins; <strong>who so ever repents, and obeys His law, He will save <span style="text-decoration: underline;">from</span> their sins.</strong></p></blockquote>
<p><strong>Saved from sin. </strong></p>
<blockquote><p>Joh 8:32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.<br />
Joh 8:34  Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.</p></blockquote>
<p>People are freed FROM their sins. They are saved FROM their sins. Saved from the bondage of their sins.</p>
<p>How are people saved from their sins? By hearing and doing the words that Jesus taught. He saved them, but there was a condition: doing Jesus&#8217; teachings.</p>
<blockquote><p>Joh 8:31  Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;</p></blockquote>
<p>The came to save us, deliver us, free us from the bondage of sin<strong> by teaching the words</strong> that he was taught by his Father. It is<strong> the spirit of the word that saves us</strong>. The fact that Jesus had to give his life to do this is the sacrifice that he had to make in order to bring the truth to us. He knew they would murder him because of what he did, but he did it out of love.</p>
<blockquote><p>Joh 6:63  It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: <strong>the words that I speak unto you, <span style="color: #b22222;">they </span>are spirit, and <span style="color: #b22222;">they</span> are life</strong>.</p></blockquote>
<p>It wasn&#8217;t his literal flesh that saves us. It is the words he spoke. They are spirit and they are life. It is the spirit of his words that have power and they contain life. Words are real things.</p>
<blockquote><p>Joh 6:68  Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the <strong>words of eternal life</strong>.</p>
<p>Joh 15:14  Ye are my friends, <strong>if ye do</strong> whatsoever I command you.</p></blockquote>
<p>It was the greatest kind of love that a man could give to his friends and that was to lay down his life, and this he did in order that he might bring us the words of life. And who are his friends? <strong>Those that do his commandments</strong>. And what is it that saves us from the bondage of sin? <strong>The word</strong> that he laid down his life for to bring to us.</p>
<p>The truth is that it is the Jesus&#8217; teachings that saves us, <strong>it is the word that we obey</strong> that saves us. Why do you think that Jesus said:</p>
<blockquote><p>Luk 6:46  And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and <strong>do not the things which I say</strong>?</p></blockquote>
<p>Someone who calls him Lord is someone who knows him and believes in him. It is not enough to just believe in him. One who hears and does his saying is solid as a rock, but those who hears his sayings and does them not is like a house build on the sand that is ruined by the elements.</p>
<blockquote><p>Joh 15:10  If ye <strong>keep my commandments</strong>, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father&#8217;s commandments, and abide in his love.</p></blockquote>
<p>In a metaphoric way, yes it is Jesus who saves us. But metaphorically speaking, who was Jesus?</p>
<blockquote><p>Joh 6:51  <strong>I am the living bread</strong> which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.</p></blockquote>
<blockquote><p>Joh 6:52  The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?</p>
<p>Joh 6:53  Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, <strong>Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you</strong>.</p>
<p>Joh 6:54  Whoso <strong>eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life</strong>; and I will raise him up at the last day.</p></blockquote>
<div class="back">Obviously, he was speaking metaphorically as he always did. He was not talking about his literal flesh and his literal blood. Therefore, it is not his literal flesh and blood that saves, it is <span style="color: #b22222;">what his flesh and blood stand for: his teachings and the power of  the spirit</span>.</div>
<p><strong>Degrees of Punishment?</strong></p>
<p>Consider this teaching where Jesus speaks of a servant. A servant is someone who not only belives in God, but serves him. The servant is punished with either <strong>many </strong>or <strong>few </strong>stripes, depending on the degree of disobedience.</p>
<blockquote><p>Luk 12:47  And that servant, which knew his lord&#8217;s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with <strong>many stripes</strong>.<br />
Luk 12:48  But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with <strong>few stripes</strong>.</p></blockquote>
<p>Now tell me, what is he teaching here? Does the servant lose his &#8220;salvation&#8221; because of disobedience? And what happens when the &#8220;few&#8221; or many stripes are finished? These are countable words, words that have a beginning and an <strong>END</strong>. So the punishment has an end.</p>
<p>Tell me then, is the servant a person who is &#8220;unsaved&#8221; that goes to Hell and then gets out when it&#8217;s over, or is the servant a &#8220;saved&#8221;  person who gets his punishment and then goes to heaven when it&#8217;s over? Who is this servant? Jesus said the <em>servant knew his lord&#8217;s will. </em>Think about it.</p>
<p>Even the Apostle Paul speaks about this:</p>
<blockquote><p>2Co 5:10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive [punishment or reward for?] the things <strong>done in his body</strong>, according to that he hath done, whether it be <strong>good or bad. </strong></p></blockquote>
<p><strong>All sins are covered by the blood?</strong></p>
<p>Now just think about this for a minute. If you are &#8220;saved&#8221; and your sins are all &#8220;covered under the blood&#8221; and all your sins are forgiven and forgotten, then why must we appear before the judgement seat of Christ for the good or bad things that we have done. Paul is obviously speaking to believers at Corinth, not unbelievers. The judgement seat is in the next life and if we must receive for the bad we have done in the body, how can this be?</p>
<p>Was the sacrifice on the cross not sufficient? Doesn&#8217;t the &#8220;blood of Christ&#8221; cover all sin? It appears that it doesn&#8217;t&#8230; or is the traditional church teaching wrong? There appears to be a great contradiction here. And what happens if God doesn&#8217;t forgive your sins? Do you do to hell for eternity or do you have to get punishment until you&#8217;ve paid for your wrongdoings?</p>
<p>What about that old saying, &#8220;Once saved always saved&#8221;? I have always wondered about all the things that don&#8217;t add up in the bible and the things that I was always taught in church. Why is there never a satisfactory answer to my questions?</p>
<p>Consider this one:</p>
<blockquote><p>Mat 6:15  But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will <strong>your Father forgive your trespasses</strong>.</p></blockquote>
<p>Unforgiveness is also known as holding a grudge. This is very common, even among believers. Many will even hold a grudge till the grave. What then? If they refused to forgive others God will not forgive them either. So what happens if they have unforgiven sins? Aren&#8217;t we taught that those who have sins that are not forgiven go to Hell?</p>
<p><strong>Aww, why worry about it anyway?</strong></p>
<p>Some people say, &#8220;Just trust God for it&#8221;, &#8220;Don&#8217;t worry about something you can&#8217;t get the answer for&#8221;, etc. Well, to me this is a very luke-warm attitude. I need answers to important questions like these. It really IS important (to me at least) to know the answers to such basic, fundamental issues as this.</p>
<p>So what happens to people who are believers, but have done bad in their lives who aren&#8217;t forgiven? There are literally millions of them. I&#8217;ve hear the one &#8220;narrow is the gate to life and few there be that find it&#8221;.</p>
<p>So let&#8217;s see then, anyone who has never heard of Jesus goes to hell. Anyone who is in a different religion than Christianity and believes in a different prophet goes to hell. People who are in Christianity but don&#8217;t believe the right way, go to hell. Believers who do bad and don&#8217;t deserve God&#8217;s forgiveness, go to hell. It seems to me that the great majority of God&#8217;s creation are going to hell and it&#8217;s next to impossible, even for a believer to know exactly what the right thing to believe in to be able to deserve entrance through the pearly gates.</p>
<p><strong>It&#8217;s really hard to understand how to &#8220;get saved&#8221;!</strong></p>
<p>To top it off, it is extremely difficult to figure out from reading the bible just how one comes to be &#8220;saved&#8221;. Paul said you had to believe that God raised Jesus from the dead to be saved and there is no works that can save you. Jesus said just the opposite. He said that only the righteous would inherit eternal life and the unrighteous would to everlasting punishment. Jesus defines what it means to be righteous in Matthew 25: it is basically your righteousness and doing good works.</p>
<p>Paul said salvation was by grace and not by works of righteousness. Jesus said eternal life was through righteous works. Now <strong>it can&#8217;t be both</strong>, even Paul said this.</p>
<blockquote><p>Rom 11:6  And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: <strong>otherwise work is no more work</strong>.</p></blockquote>
<p>Here Paul says something contrary to what he said before:</p>
<blockquote><p>1Co 6:9  Know ye not that the <strong>unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God</strong>? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,<br />
1Co 6:10  Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.</p></blockquote>
<p>And I know there are lots of believers who definitely fit these titles. So none of these believers who are supposedly saved are not going to inherit the kingdom of God. Or maybe inheriting the kingdom of God is not the same as going to heaven? Paul is talking to the believers at the church of Corinth, is he not? He&#8217;s basically saying if you are not righteous you won&#8217;t go to heaven. So what do they teach us in church? If you don&#8217;t go to heaven you go to Hell.</p>
<p>Once he&#8217;s saying that you have to be righteous to inherit the kingdom of God. And here he&#8217;s saying that just believing is counted for righteousness:</p>
<blockquote><p>Rom 4:2  For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.<br />
Rom 4:3  For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.<br />
Rom 4:4  Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.<br />
Rom 4:5  But to <strong>him that worketh not</strong>, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his <strong>faith is counted for righteousness</strong>.</p></blockquote>
<p>So then you can be as unrighteous as you want but if you have faith, if you just believe then that makes you righteous in God&#8217;s eyes. That doesn&#8217;t make sense. Paul contradicts himself. Or did someone who came after Paul add something to his words that he never said?</p>
<p>Paul says you are not justified by works, but Jesus says you are. How confusing and contradictory!</p>
<p><strong>James seemed to not agree with Paul.</strong></p>
<blockquote><p>Jas 1:21  Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, <strong>which is able to save your souls</strong>.<br />
Jas 1:22  But <strong>be ye doers of the word</strong>, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.</p></blockquote>
<p>James says your soul is saved by <strong>living righteously and doing the word</strong>.</p>
<blockquote><p>Jas 2:14  What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? <strong>can faith save him</strong>?<br />
Jas 2:17  Even so <strong>faith, if it hath not works, is dead</strong>, being alone.</p></blockquote>
<p>James taught differently than Paul. According to him it wasn&#8217;t only by grace throught faith as Paul taught, but your <strong>f</strong><strong>aith without works cannot save you</strong>. You must have the works along with the faith to be saved.</p>
<p>Is it true that just &#8220;believing in Jesus saves your soul&#8221; or is it your works and your righteousness that saves? Such an important question in Christianity should be clear and without any contradictions. Unfortunately, it&#8217;s not! There is something wrong with the bible here. And this is such a basic and important doctrine that all believers should understand perfectly.</p>
<p><strong>Even Barnabas disagreed with Paul</strong></p>
<p>Obviously, Jesus&#8217; disciples and Paul had very strong differences of opinion on such key teachings, or so it seems. Evidently, Barnabus who the disciples sent to accompany Paul had a different opinion about salvation than Paul.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8230;thou shalt <strong>work with thy hands for a ransom for thy sins</strong>. (Barnabas 19:10)</p></blockquote>
<p>Barnabas taught that you had to do good works to <strong>pay for your sins</strong>.</p>
<blockquote><p>It is good therefore to learn the ordinances of the Lord, as many as have been written above, and to walk in them. For he that <strong>doeth these things</strong> shall be glorified in the kingdom of God; whereas he that chooseth their opposites shall<strong> perish together with his works</strong>. (Barnabas 21:1)</p></blockquote>
<p>He also taught that you had to learn and do the ordinances of the Lord to be saved.</p>
<blockquote><p>each man shall receive according to his deeds. If he be good, his righteousness shall go before him in the way; <strong>if he be evil, the recompense of his evil-doing is before him</strong>; (Barnabas 4:12)</p></blockquote>
<p>&#8230;and if you do evil, evil will be in your future. What you sow you reap. But when? Where? How?</p>
<p>Barnabas believed, as did the other disciples of Jesus, that you are saved by your good works. Not only that but that if you did the opposite of the ordinances of the Lord you lose your salvation together with your works. This may very well be the reason that he and Paul had an <strong>extremely heated argument </strong>and they ended up parting ways.</p>
<blockquote><p>Act 15:39 And the <strong>contention was so sharp between them</strong>, that <strong>they departed asunder one from the other</strong>: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;</p></blockquote>
<p><strong>Lots of contradictions</strong></p>
<p>The angel told Mary Jesus saved people from their sins. Jesus said righteous works saved people from their sins. Paul said faith alone without righteous works saved people from their sins. James said faith without works was dead and faith alone can not save people from their sins. Barnabas said people have to work with their hands to pay for their sins and to do the ordinances of the Lord.</p>
<p><strong>What happens to you if you aren&#8217;t forgiven?</strong></p>
<p>What happens if you have sins that don&#8217;t get forgiven when you die? How is it that the blood isn&#8217;t enough and you must receive for the bad you do? Where do you go? What happens to you? Do you go to a fiery place when you die to be tormented for the rest of eternity? There is definitely something missing in this picture. Why isn&#8217;t the bible clearer on this such a basic and important point. Could it be that the &#8220;correctors&#8221; intentionally cut out important parts of teaching that would have clarified such an important point? The truth is that they certainly have! All Men deserve to know this truth.</p>
<p><strong>Jesus came to search for the lost sheep and to save mens&#8217; lives</strong></p>
<blockquote><p>Luk 6:9  Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil?<strong> to save life</strong>, or to destroy it?</p>
<p>Luk 9:56  For the Son of man is not come to destroy <strong>men&#8217;s lives</strong>, but to save them.</p>
<p>Luk 19:10  For the Son of man is come to <strong>seek and to save that which was lost</strong>.</p>
<p>Joh 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and <span style="text-decoration: underline;">believe not, I judge him not</span>: for<span style="text-decoration: underline;"> </span><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">I came not to judge</span></strong><strong> the world, but to save the world</strong>.</p>
<p>Joh 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: <strong>I am come that they might have life</strong>, and that they might have it more abundantly.</p></blockquote>
<p>The type of salvation Jesus spoke of was the saving of their physical lives&#8230;</p>
<blockquote><p>Luk 4:18  The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to <strong>preach the gospel</strong> to the poor; he hath sent me to <strong>heal the brokenhearted</strong>, to <strong>preach deliverance</strong> to the captives, and r<strong>ecovering of sight</strong> to the blind, to <strong>set at liberty</strong> them that are bruised,</p></blockquote>
<p>&#8230;and saving them from the cruel bondage of the political and religious system and the bondage of their own sins and set an example for others to follow.</p>
<p><strong>The conditional part of salvation</strong></p>
<p>The condition to the beginning of the process of salvation is believing. But if one is evil then he won&#8217;t even believe, therefore the process of salvation cannot even begin.</p>
<blockquote><p>Joh 3:17  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world <strong>through him <span style="text-decoration: underline;">might</span></strong><strong> be saved.</strong></p>
<p>Joh 3:18  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned <strong>already</strong>, because he hath not believed in the name of the first begotten Son of God.</p></blockquote>
<p>If one doesn&#8217;t even believe in Jesus in what Jesus says, he&#8217;s already judged. And why? Because he doesn&#8217;t believe. He is condemned by <strong>his own</strong> unbelief and love of darkness. Men are saved by <strong>their own doing</strong> of the teachings of Jesus.</p>
<blockquote><p>Joh 3:19  And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, <strong>because</strong> their deeds were evil.</p></blockquote>
<p>And why doesn&#8217;t he believe? Because if he did decide to believe, he would have to come to the light and get exposed and when exposed he would have to change his ways. This is the real test if a person believes in what Jesus taught: he will start changing and the painful process of purification and perfection begins the long road to salvation.</p>
<p><strong>Who is able to save the soul?</strong></p>
<blockquote><p>Mat 10:28  And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear <strong>him </strong>[God] which is able to <strong>destroy both soul and body in hell</strong>.</p>
<p>Isa 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and <strong>beside me there is no Saviour</strong>.</p></blockquote>
<p>Obviously, if God is able to destroy the soul, he is also able to save the soul. When we read this in context with the rest of the scriptures we see that Jesus was not referring to himself, but to God.</p>
<p><strong>Jesus never said that he saved men&#8217;s souls</strong></p>
<p>Yes of course, &#8220;he came to seek and to save that which was lost.&#8221; But he was speaking of the lost sheep. Those who were already his sheep, lost because of the false teachings of the priests and false prophets.</p>
<p><span style="background: #d7e7f7;">One thing is clear, however, and that is that Jesus <strong>never</strong> said that he saved men&#8217;s souls, but that <strong>it was his sayings, that when man heard them and did righteous works he taught, is what saved their souls.</strong></span> This is the same that Jesus&#8217; disciples taught, and was contrary to Paul&#8217;s teachings. If you don&#8217;t believe it, just read Matthew 25:31-46. It&#8217;s right there, Jesus&#8217;s whole teaching on how to literally obtain &#8220;life eternal&#8221;. <span style="background: #d7e7f7;"><strong>According to Jesus&#8217;s teachings, men were not saved by faith alone, but by man&#8217;s obedience to his teachings.</strong></span></p>

<p>This is the name of The Messiah as it appears in the original Greek Bible text</p>
<p>However, nowhere in scripture (Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, or even original English) is the name <em>GEE-ZUSS</em> found. No people have ever called the Savior by the name Jesus except English speaking people of the last 200 years.</p>
<p>The Septuagint was the only bible circulating at their time. In the book of Acts we see that they used the same Greek name for Joshua that was used for the name Jesus in the gospels. In Acts 7:45 it says, When we compare that with John 1:35 in the King James Version of the bible we see the name &#8220;Jesus&#8221;.</p>

&#8220;0ur fathers having inherited with <strong>Joshua</strong>, in the taking of possession of the nations..&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p>The image below this paragraph is the Greek title of the Book of Joshua as it appears in the Greek Septuagint Bible, 300 B.C the second verse Joshua 1:1  is Joshua&#8217;s Greek name. The name Joshua means Jehovah-saved. The name Jesus is not found in any language (except English in the last 200 years) and has no meaning at all.</p>

<p>The name of Joshua in Greek has been the same for 1700 years! Everywhere you see Jesus and Joshua the Greek translation is the same for both names. This is proof that our original bible in the Greek had the Messiah&#8217;s correct name &#8212; Joshua &#8212; and <strong>it was only changed to the Greek name Iesous <span style="color: #b22222;">AFTER</span> the New Testament was written in Greek! </strong>(or after the translation was made, which ever is the truth)This means that for some reason the real name Joshua was substituted for another name by someone who already knew what the correct translation was. They <strong>knowingly and purposely changed the name! </strong></p>
<p>The correct translation of Joshua was already known 300 years before the birth of the Messiah. They even knew the correct translation in Greek since they used it in Acts 7:45! <strong>This is a clear-cut case of biblical corruption focused on the main character of the New Testament, Christ!</strong> The transliteration of the Hebrew name Yeshua had to be an invention long after the bible was already written.</p>

In the contemporary translations below all the translations in Acts 7:45 are &#8220;Joshua&#8221; except for the King James Version. This is very curious. This should tell you something is radically wrong and someone has been tampering with bible.</p>
<blockquote><p>(KJV)  Which also our fathers that came after brought in with <strong><span style="color: #b22222;">Jesus</span></strong><strong> </strong>into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;</p>
<p>(Darby)  which also our fathers, receiving from their predecessors, brought in with <strong><span style="color: #336699;">Joshua</span></strong><strong> </strong>when they entered into possession of the lands of the nations, whom God drove out from the face of our fathers, until the days of David;</p>
<p>(WNT)  That Tent was bequeathed to the next generation of our forefathers. Under <strong><span style="color: #336699;">Joshua</span></strong> they brought it with them when they were taking possession of the land of the Gentile nations, whom God drove out before them. So it continued till David&#8217;s time.</p>
<p>(YLT)  which also our fathers having in succession received, did bring in with <strong><span style="color: #336699;">Joshua</span></strong>, into the possession of the nations whom God did drive out from the presence of our fathers, till the days of David,</p></blockquote>
<p><strong>Conclusion:</strong></p>
<div class="back"><strong>The Greek language did, in fact, have a correct translation for Joshua as far back as 300 BC. </strong>It makes no sense that the authors or translators transliterated the name from Yeshua to Iesous when they already had a correct translation. This is NOT true! In fact this correct translation persists to this day as we can see that contemporary translations of the bible actually have the name Joshua instead of Jesus. Furthermore, the Greek name in the gospels where the name Jesus is used is the same as the Greek name for Joshua.The question remains: Since the original translation for the name of the Messiah was correct from the beginning, <strong>who replaced it with the name Iesous? And why was this done?</strong></div>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>What is the difference between Everlasting Life and Salvation? Or is there a difference? Why are these terms different for the same concept? Or are they the same? I guess to most people, they could care less.</p>
<p>However, if they have the same meaning then there is a great contradiction here. If they are different, then there is something here that we haven&#8217;t seen before.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s not a wonder most people don&#8217;t study and try to understand the bible for themselves, it takes a bible schollar with a doctorate&#8217;s degree to understand some of it. So people just leave the interpreting to the guys with the credencials and accept what they have to say as God-sent truth.</p>
<p>According to Jesus, Everlasting Life is obtained by keeping the commandments and doing good works. According to Paul, salvation is merely believing and one cannot be saved by good works which we have done, but belief only is accounted for righteousness. This is a direct contradiction of a basic concept.</p>
<p>To make things more complicated, Jesus says in another gospel, &#8220;He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.&#8221; So in this place it seems that Jesus is agreeing with Paul in that all you have to do is believe. But then in other places he says clearly that you have to keep his commandments and do good works to enter into life. What is one to believe?</p>
<p>It&#8217;s not a wonder that people leave it up to the clergy to get their truth. If a person wanted to find out for himself how to be saved and what this meant, he would get pretty confused just reading the bible, unless they only read a certain part. Then they would only get the part that they read. But then you have different pastors, preachers or priests that have different opinions on the subject. What is it, by good works or just believing?</p>
<p>Another thing. Why did Jesus almost always use the term &#8220;everlasting life&#8221; and not salvation?</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t pretend to have all the answers, I can pretty much just guess as good as the next guy. But do the guys with all the credencials have the answers? Don&#8217;t they just make educated guesses too?</p>
<p>What it all comes down to since you don&#8217;t have enough information to actually &#8220;prove&#8221; much one way or the other, is that you have to <strong>believe</strong> in something to be the truth &#8212; you don&#8217;t really know it for sure. The next guy also has something that he believes to be the truth. But they can&#8217;t both be right. One has to be right and the other has to be wrong.</p>
<div class="back">Believing is something that we do when we don&#8217;t have enough tangible facts to back something up. Like we say, &#8220;I believe in God&#8221;, because we&#8217;ve never seen him, but something deep inside says that he exists and everything around us tells us that this all couldn&#8217;t have happened by accident. That&#8217;s all good.</div>
<div class="back">But when it comes to basic concepts that we should know for sure we should not have to just believe. We should know for certain things, because we have it in black and white. It should be written down in no uncertain terms. This is not believing, it is knowing, it is seeing and having certainty. Believing is not knowing and knowing is not believing, they are mutually exclusive.</div>
<p>Like John the apostle said,</p>
<blockquote><p>1Jn 5:13  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that <strong>ye may know</strong> that ye have eternal life.</p></blockquote>
<p>He didn&#8217;t say that &#8220;ye may believe&#8221;, but that <em>&#8220;ye may know&#8221;</em>.</p>
<p>And the apostle Paul said,</p>
<blockquote><p>1Th 5:21  <strong>Prove all things</strong>; hold fast that which is good.</p></blockquote>
<p>That&#8217;s why things are written down. We use documents to prove that we own things; that we were born in a certain place at a certain time; that we are certified to drive a vehicle, etc. It&#8217;s the same with the bible. It&#8217;s supposed to be a document that proves something. There is supposed to be proof there that documents that we have eternal life. It is not a matter of believing it is a matter of being able to prove it. The bible is supposed to be a legal document that proves certain facts.</p>
<p>But what happens if men come along and change some of the facts. This happens with our documents today. Men for certain reasons will create false documents, like a passport to make people think that a certain person is from a place he&#8217;s not really from. Or he may modify a birth certificate to make it look like the person is older or younger or born in a place he was not really born. There are many motives why men do these things, but they are almost always dishonest and criminal reasons.</p>
<p>So here we have the bible. It is also a document that is supposed to prove a lot of facts about things. But men have come along through the centuries and changed things, taken things out and inserted things that were never there.</p>
<div class="back">It has only been in the last 50 years that we have had computers and word processing software to be able to make documents nearly perfect. But hundreds of years ago when computers didn&#8217;t exist, men made changes to documents or manuscripts with a pen on a skin or crude paper or even stone or what have you.</p>
<p>The problem is that without the computing power that we have today, men would change some things but other things were left unchanged, leaving contradictions and inconsistencies. This is one of the reasons that we know that the bible has been altered. Whenever something is changed in one place it almost invariably leaves an inconsistency or even a contradiction in other places.</p></div>
<p>When a phrase says, &#8220;believe on the name of the son of God&#8221;, it is different than, &#8220;believe what Jesus teaches&#8221;. What does it really mean to &#8220;believe on the name&#8221;? If you think about it, you would find it really hard to define what this phrase actually signifies. But the phrase, &#8220;believe what Jesus teaches&#8221; is very clear. But do they both mean the same thing? Not really. One infers that you have faith that something that Jesus taught is true and you do those things and live by them. The other means what?</p>
<p>What does it mean to &#8220;believe on&#8221; something or someone? What we have learned from listening to preachers is that it means that all you have to do is believe that Jesus is God and confess this to the world and you go to heaven for eternity when you die.</p>
<p>Is that really true? If you really look at this it is actually a contradiction with what is written in other places in the bible. The two things are literally opposites. One says no good works can get you eternal life and the other says if you don&#8217;t have good works you don&#8217;t get eternal life.</p>
<p>The basic difference is this: if you &#8220;believe on&#8221; Jesus, then this means that you rely on him alone to justify you based on nothing at all but the fact that you confess to &#8220;believe on&#8221; him. If you believe in what Jesus said, this means that you receive what he said as truth and you therefore you live and do the teachings</p>
<blockquote><p>Mat 7:21  Not every one that saith unto me, <strong>Lord, Lord</strong>, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but <strong>he that doeth the will of my Father</strong> which is in heaven.</p>
<p>Luk 6:46  And why call ye me, <strong>Lord, Lord</strong>, and <strong>do not the things which I say</strong>?</p>
<p>Luk 13:25  When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, <strong>Lord, Lord</strong>, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, <strong>I know you not whence ye are</strong>:</p></blockquote>
<p>According to Jesus you have <strong>to do his teachings</strong> to<em> enter into the kingdom of heaven</em>. Obviously, according to Jesus believing alone won&#8217;t get one into the kingdom of heaven. There were those who knew of him and believed on him because they said to him, <em>&#8220;Lord, Lord&#8221;</em>.</p>
<p>James agreed with Jesus,</p>
<blockquote><p>Jas 2:14  What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? <strong>can faith save him</strong>?</p>
<p>Jas 2:17  Even so <strong>faith, if it hath not works, is dead</strong>, being alone.</p>
<p>Jas 2:19  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the <strong>devils also believe, and tremble</strong>.</p></blockquote>
<div class="back">The two things: &#8220;believing on&#8221; and &#8220;believing what one says&#8221;, are really very different &#8212; and are direct contradictions. They can&#8217;t both be true. Where there is contradiction or inconsistency, that&#8217;s how you can tell man has tampered with the bible. So which one is the Real Truth and how do you decide which is real and which has been forged?</div>
