Basically, what the church fathers did was to alter the original writings to fit their particular doctrines and not especially to the truth. First they made it look like Joseph was not the biological father of Jesus, but it was the “holy ghost”. Then they made Mary into some kind of a religious godess and Jesus a god-man. Jesus lost the fact that he was dedicated as a Nazorite and was brought up as a vegetarian, obviously as not to offend their beloved emperor Constantine.

Also there are many large gaps in the stories where facts were either cut out or just left out. Remember, the Matthew, Mark and Luke are called the synoptic gospels because they were all copied from a “similar” text.
Neither Mark nor John contain the story of Jesus birth. Neither Paul nor any of the other disciples even mention anything about the “virgin birth”, which if were true it should have had an important place in the epistles and the Acts of the apostles. But not a word! The only place this strange doctrine appears is in Luke and Matthew and even these the story is strikingly different. But in the gospel of the Nazarenes the aspect of the virgin birth is completely absent!
| Nazarenes | Luke | Matthew |
|---|---|---|
| Holy Ghost is not found in the original as coming over Joseph, only Mary | Mat 1:18Â Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. |
|
| Joseph didn’t try to hide Mary in the original. Also absent in Luke. | Mat 1:19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. |
|
| 2:1 In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God, to a city in Galilee, named Nazareth; | Luk 1:26Â And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth |
Absent in Matthew |

| 2:2 Now Joseph was a just and rational mind. He was skilled in all manner of work, in wood and in stone. Mary was a tender and discerning soul. She made veils for the temple. They were both pure before God; of them both was Yeshua who is called the Messiah. |
Joseph was Jesus’ biological father. Mary, being of the tribe of Levi, was raised in the temple. |
This fact is cut out of Matthew and Luke |
| 2:3 The angel came in to her and said, “Hail, Mary, you who are highly favored, for the motherhood of God is with you; blessed are you among women and blessed be the fruit of your womb. | Luk 1:28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. | Absent in Matthew |
| 2:4 When she saw the angel, she was perplexed by what he was telling her. She pondered what kind of greeting this might be. |
Luk 1:29Â And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. |
Absent in Matthew |
| “Fear not” is not said to Mary but to Joseph in Nazarenes | Luk 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. | Absent in Matthew |
| Son of the Highest was added. | Luk 1:32Â He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: | Absent in Matthew |
| 2:5 And the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David… |

Absent in Matthew |
| The angel answered, The Holy Spirit will come upon Joseph your spouse, and the power of the Highest will over shadow you… |
Luk 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee… |
They cut out the part where the Holy Spirit would come upon Joseph and changed it to make Mary look better. Absent in Matthew. |
| Oh Mary, that holy babe born of you will be called the Messiah, the Child of God… | Luk 1:35 …therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. | They changed Child of God to Son of God. Absent in Matthew. |
| His name on earth will be Yeshua. | Luk 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. |
Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: |
| He was named Yeshua, as commanded by the angel — not Emmanuel, and not Jesus. | The correct translation would be “Joshua” which means Salvation of God” | The name Jesus has no meaning. |
| He will save the people from their sins; who so ever repents, and obeys His law, He will save from their sins.” | Absent in Luke “save people from their sins” | for he shall save his people from their sins. |
| 2:7 Therefore, Mary, do not eat any flesh, nor drink strong drink, for the child will be consecrated to God from your womb. He will neither take flesh nor strong drink, nor will he cut his hair. | This part was obviously cut out so as not to offend the emperor who liked to drink and eat meat — Jesus was a vegetarian. Absent in Luke. | Also he was not to cut his hair since he was a Nazarite. Absent in Matthew. |
| 2:8 Your cousin Elisabeth, has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is the sixth month of one who was called barren… | Luk 1:36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. | Absent in Matthew |
| For with God no thing is impossible… | Luk 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible. | Absent in Matthew |
| And Mary said, “Behold the handmaid of the Lord; let it happen to me, according to your word.” And the angel left her. | Luk 1:38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. | Absent in Matthew |
| 2:9 On the same day the angel Gabriel appeared to Joseph in a dream and said to him, “Hail, Joseph, you are highly favored, for the fatherhood of God is with you. Blessed are you among men and blessed be the fruit of your generative power. | Angel appears to Joseph but does not tell him conception is of the Holy Ghost. In Matthew, Mary is already pregnant, in Nazarenes the angel tells Joseph go into his espoused bride (wife) and she was made pregnant by him. | Mat 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. |

| Be aware, you will beget a child; and you will call Him Yeshua, |
He was called Yeshua, not Emmauel and not Jesus. | Mat 1:21Â And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: |
| for He will “save his people from their sins.” | Absent in Luke “save people from their sins” | for he shall save his people from their sins. |
| 2:11 Now all this occurred so that what was written in the prophets might be fulfilled. | Prophecy absent in Luke | Mat 1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, |
| The prophets wrote, “Behold a maiden will conceive and be with child and will bring forth a son, and He will be called Emmanuel, which means, “God within us.” | Changed maiden to virgin to support churches doctrine of the virgin birth and changes Jesus into a “god-man” like in Greek mythology. | Mat 1:23Â Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. |
| This verse in Matthew would give the reader the idea that Joseph had sex with his wife, but the next verse contradicts this idea. | Absent in Luke. | Mat 1:24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife |
| 2:12 Joseph, now awake, did as the angel directed him, and went in to Mary his espoused bride. In her womb she conceived the Holy One. | They changed it to mean that he didn’t have sex with Mary until Jesus was born. | Mat 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. |
The gospels of Mark and John omit this story completely and begin at the baptism of Jesus in the river Jordan.

Have you ever heard of the AENT? (Aramaic English New Testament)
There are a number of things that are incorrectly translated, but I discovered the truth because the teachings of Jesus are imperishable by any means. Acts 3:22,23 puts faith at doing whatever that Prophet had to say to us, which is recorded from Matthew through Revelation. As John the baptist said in John 3, the words of Jesus are above all other words because Jesus alone came from above and testified to what He had seen and heard.
Those who will not hear that Prophet, in whatever He says, will be cut off.
Indeed – how some think to pray to invite Jesus into their hearts and have a personal relationship with Him that is quite apart from coming to abide in everything He taught. You might find my web site interesting, as I’ve tried to bring out some pointed teachings Jesus gave that many overlook. Just leave off the name on the email and the web site is there.
Thanks. Yes I have heard of AENT. There are some differences, but these are basically the same gospels that were piece-mealed together by the roman church and codified by the Athanasians which were full of interpolations and corruptions. I believe that the True gospels were written in Hebrew or Aramaic and NOT Greek. But the four canonical gospels are in no way the originals that the disciples wrote. Sorry to pop your bubble.
