As the waters cover the sea

Hab 2:14 For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, As the waters cover the sea.

This is not the state of the earth today. And the knowledge that Christianity holds to today is not very close to what the real truth is. What most Christians think is that their efforts of “evangelizing” the world or with the coming of “Christ” is what will bring the earth to be “filled with the knowledge of the Lord”. Sorry to say, but I don’t believe either is the case.

First of all, Christians have a long way to go to get all the false endoctrination washed out of them. Second, I believe the real truth will have to come out and replace the dogmatic doctrines that have pervaded all these hundreds of years. People will have to discover the truth and it will gradually replace the church’s dogmas and it’s strangle-hold over people’s hearts and minds. There will come a day when men will no longer feel the need for the church and they will have their contact directly with the Living God himself.

God doesn’t live in church buildings

Act 7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
Act 7:49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?

Our bodies are where he lives

…for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

What’s sad about all this is that those who try to promote the truth will be vilified as heretics just as they have thoughout all the centuries since the early church and the real truth will be seen as heresy. The leaders of the church use the power of the word to practice control over people’s minds because that is what keeps their coffers full. Any threat to that power over people is a threat to their pocketbook. And those who speak the real truth will be seen as enemies and heretics.

Those who spoke out against the false doctrines of the church were persecuted, tortured, murdered, dismemebered, defamed, burned at the stake, tongues cut out, witch hunts. The actual number is unknown but without a doubt it is many thousands. Just to name a few famous examples: Joan of Arc, Galileo, Jan Hus; not to mention the Protestans, Jews and Muslims.

But God will send them his messenger and they will proclaim his laws, which men have hidden by their traditions, and those that transgress shall die.” (GON 61.3)
